Gwenael Lambrouin is a senior R&D engineer and developer employed by Orange, the French incumbent telecom operator. Within Orange, Gwenael works part time for the b<>com institute of Research and Technology dedicated to boost development of products and services for smarter networks. b<>com aims at bringing industrial, academic and own researchers together work on projects of joint interest. Gwenael Lambrouin’s current projects are proof of concept demonstrators based on open source software that cover the NetworkOS research area i.e.: How to manage and operate globally a heterogeneous network infrastructure composed of legacy network equipment, but also generic compute nodes (that will support virtualized network functions) and virtualized storage? How to use the tools provided by SDN and NFV to deploy network services faster?
