Mr. Beckmann is the chair of the ONF’s Open Datapath WG, and is a member of the ONF’s Chipmakers’ Advisory Board (CAB). Mr. Beckmann also leads the Table Type Patterns project for the OpenDaylight SDN Controller. From 2011 to 2013 he was responsible for IPv6 standards at Brocade, until SDN activities consumed too much of his time. He keeps close tabs on the OPNFV project, which is working on integrating OpenDaylight and OpenStack. Since being named Brocade's Chief Technology Architect for EMEA, Mr. Beckmann is now based in Paris.
