ODL User-Stories - Dave Neary

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

User stories are brief descriptions of high-level tasks that people *should* be able to do with your software. The goal is to document tasks from the user's point of view, and then break that high-level goal down into sub-tasks that people need to be able to do. The goal, at the end, is to identify gaps in the software, prioritise feature additions based on user story priority, and use user stories as a basis for tutorials, documentation, and usability improvements. For example, one user story might be "use OpenDaylight as a netvirt solution for a private cloud", and that might break down into sub-tasks like "the user wants to create a new network endpoint, and add it to a virtual subnet", "the cloud admin wants to run the internal network as IPv6 only", etc. The goal of this session is to communicate the work which has been started around user stories, and recruit others to help define and elaborate more.
