User Tutorial: Deploying OpenDaylight & OpenFlow into an Existing Network - Steven Noble, NetDef

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this tutorial/lab, we will start with a L3 routed network with four
L3 network devices running BGP + OSPF, where two of the nodes will be
OpenFlow capable switches running as normal L3 network devices.

After demonstrating the functionality of the network, OpenDaylight will
be set up and the first OpenFlow capable device will be migrated to the
OpenDaylight controller.  Quagga will be utilized to provide routing
information and OpenFlow will be used to program the traffic flows to
the switch.

Once the network connectivity has been restored, the second OpenFlow
capable device will be converted to OpenFlow mode and connected up to
the same OpenDaylight Controller.
