2) Writing a simple OpenDaylight Southbound Protocol plugin

Along the way we will explore:

2) Available design patterns for your application and protocol plugin
3) How to achieve those patterns in your code
4) Building applications from micro-services
5) Getting along with other applications
6) Clustering considerations
7) Performance considerations
8) Error handling

At the end of this tutorial you will have written a simple application and southbound plugin
using best practices and have an understanding of *why* it was written that way.

Raghurama Bhat is a Principal Engineer in Cisco. He contributes to OpenDaylight and also leads several OpenDaylight related Cisco internal projects. Raghurama has over 20 years of experience in the software industry building large, distributed and scalable enterprise/cloud applications.
