SDN and NFV are part of the overall industry shift toward network and application virtualization. NFV in itself is a complex issue that has its own set of requirements and making sure it is carrier-grade is no easy task. The OPNFV project was created to help carriers and the OSS community to come together to collaborate to build an open source NFV reference platform. The project aims to integrate components from upstream projects, including OpenDaylight and OpenStack and to coordinate continuous integration and testing while filling development gaps. With more than 50 members OPNFV has quickly emerged as a key place where discussions are taking place. Join us to learn how OPNFV is collaborating with other OSS projects, service providers and vendors to advance the development and deployment of a carrier-grade integrated, open source reference platform for NFV.
